We are KATE Berlin

Kerstin Kerstin Wippel is the director of KATE e.V. and coordinates the Berlin development-policy education programme (benbi). She is a gardener and qualified engineer for landscape planning. During her studies at the Technical University of Berlin she was active in the sphere of research projects concerning the environmental consequences of offshore wind parks and organised international conferences to the theme. She participated in development-cooperation projects in Nicaragua and Cuba.

Belinda Hanke coordinates the projects within the sphere of the north-south school partnerships of schools in Latin America and Berlin. She is a Master of Arts in Geography and has been working for KATE since 2008 as a free-lancer in the field of the organisation of the Berlin development-policy education programme.

Raphael Schapira is a social anthropologist and has been working since 2010 as a freelancer for the north-south school-partnerships program between schools in Latin America and Berlin. "Your world in focus" is the title of the actual project.
